Jeff and Tonia, Owners
Jeff and Tonia (the J and T in “J & T Trailers”) started this company because they saw a need in their community for better product selection, expert working knowledge of their unique customers’ needs, and a level of service that feels like family.
Jeff began this business after nearly 30 years selling products and services at a leading farm and lawn equipment dealership. He knows these trailer and truck bed products better than anybody and will never sell a product unless he truly believes in it—both in quality and in value.
Jeff graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute in 1991 with an Associates of Applied Sciences Degree in Diesel Technology. Since even before then, he has loved working with his hands, including welding and working on just about any aspect of farm machinery.
Tonia joined J & T Trailers after 25 years in healthcare and uses her skills of organization and problem solving administratively for the company. When interacting with Tonia, you will quickly learn that relationships are everything to her. Whether you are a customer or a vendor, everyone is treated like family. She has also been known to tie down and haul a few trailers too! Community, faith, and family are the values that drive Jeff and Tonia in all that they do. They strive to help each of their customers attain their goals and make their lives easier.
John Lensing, Sales
John Lensing currently resides in Hermann, Missouri with his fiancé, two cats and two dogs. He obtained his Associates Degree in Business
Management/Sales at East Central College in Union, Missouri. Before coming to J & T Trailers he spent two years managing two different Red Wing Shoes locations in St. Louis, Missouri. This setting helped him gain sales experience and further fueled his passion for sales, people, and happiness of doing something he loves!
John’s grandpa used to tell him, “Happiness is the key to life, if you are not happy in what you are doing or with your life, then why are you doing it.” This is a driving force behind how he lives his life and what he brings to J & T Trailers every day.
Eric Englert, Service Technician and Fabricator
Eric currently resides in Gerald, MO with his four-legged side kick Bear. He completed his certification of welding at Lincoln College of Technology in Denver, Colorado.
Eric completes all aspects of trailer service from brakes, wiring to suspension. His real passion lies in welding. He loves the challenge, special skill, and high attention to detail required to achieve a high-quality piece. He loves to listen to the customer and fabricate something new to optimize function and safety.
Whether it’s service or fabrication, he prides himself on customizing and individualizing each product and service to meet the customers’ needs and equipment function.
Natalie Kopp
Natalie resides in Hermann, MO and is currently entering into her senior year of high school. She loves to spend time with her family and taking Agriculture Classes in school.
She is active in a variety of aspects at J & T Trailers. You will find her filing, organizing in the office or outside torquing and stickering trailers to cleaning the shop.
Melvin “Sonny” Kiel, Driver
Sonny resides in Hermann, MO with his wife, Virginia, “Shorty” of 53 years. He stopped by to check on the status of his trailer on order and found himself being the answer to a prayer of some much-needed help hauling trailers.
When Sonny is not hauling trailers, you will find him hiding in a duck blind, fishing, or spending time with his family. Sonny is hard working and puts his heart and soul into all he does. He also does not meet a stranger!
